Chicago Texas Exes

We are the Chicago Chapter of the University of Texas alumni association, The Texas Exes, which is an independent, non-profit organization. Our Chapter creates opportunities for fellowship and meaningful alumni involvement in the Chicago area, bringing Association programs to your doorstep!

The Texas Exes Chicago Chapter raises money for scholarships given to local students attending UT Austin each year, as part of its mission to praise, promote, and protect UT Austin and its students.

6/15/2011 Nina Godiwalla Author of Suits: A Woman on Wall Street

Far from home her home in Texas, a young woman fights to earn a place on Wall Street.  Showered with Broadway tickets and sleek black cars, would she have to lose her southern accent and apologize for her “public school” education at The University of Texas to prove her worth as an investment banker?

In Liar’s Poker meetsThe Devil Wears Prada, Nina offers a behind the scenes look at the recklessness that ruled Wall Street during the dot-com boom days.  A vibrant snapshot of an immigrant family with big dreams, Suits reveals how much we’ve been conditioned to trade for success.
